Attorney Robert Strumor

Robert Strumor is a seasoned attorney with expertise in aviation law, tax representation, public finance, and commercial and corporate litigation. He practices in both state and federal courts, handling civil trials and mediations in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Daytona Beach, Florida.

Established in Santa Fe, NM, in 2009, The Law Offices of Robert M. Strumor, LLC practices law related to litigation, commercial transactions, aviation, and public finance. The firm has served as Bond Counsel for an industrial revenue bond project in Los Alamos County, New Mexico, and as Co-Bond Counsel for several New Mexico School Districts. Additionally, it has acted as underwriter's counsel for several public facilities bond issuances.

Since 2020, the firm's attorneys have focused on aviation law at the Daytona Beach, Florida office, representing pilots, aircraft owners, FBOs, mechanics, and flight charter companies.

Before founding his own law office, Robert Strumor was a founding partner at the Albuquerque law firm of Hughes and Strumor Ltd., Co. He practiced there from 1990 to 2009, specializing in public finance as sole Bond Counsel, issuer's counsel, underwriters' counsel, and disclosure counsel.

During his tenure at Hughes & Strumor, Mr. Strumor worked with various clients, including New Mexico Cities, Counties, Public School Districts, Special Assessment and Tax Increment Districts, as well as Underwriters, Investment Banks, and Trustees.

Before Hughes & Strumor, Robert Strumor practiced law with the New Mexico firm of Sutin Thayer & Browne, focusing on public finance. Prior to that, he served as in-house general counsel to Summa Medical Corporation, a New Mexico public company, specializing in securities regulation.

Mr. Strumor has over forty years of private law practice, as well as seven years of experience working in the public sector as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Mexico, and as lawyer with DNA Legal Services, a legal aid program on the Navajo Indian Reservation.
In addition to his legal career, Mr. Strumor is a licensed private pilot, a member of the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association (LPBA), and a past Director for the organization.
